It could at least be more specific. Or maybe Bush could hold one up, once someone tells him that a hurricane has hit us.

Yeah, well. It's not $250 billion, but it's a small answer to the repeated complaints of AMERICA HAS FORGOTTEN US BOO HOO. Take it for what it's worth, you fuckers. People do remember and people do care and alienating them and pissing on how they choose to show support isn't going to get you what you want. It's a small gesture, not the sum total of the actions people are willing to take.

so, in short: "America, do not forget us!" --> America: "We are thinking of you." --> "Fuck that crap, America!"

I beg pardon from you suspect.

Clearly, my comment was off. My angst is directed toward the Congress and foot-dragging that is going on between Baton Rouge and Washington.

You are correct in pointing out something positive here.

It is good to know America cares, if not its leadership.

I resent being called a fucker. I don't think the site is bad thing, but I'm sick of symbols as a substitute for action, because that seems like all we get these days from Washington, at least. It is good to know that people care. Your rage is a little too blanket.
