I call bullshit

Axl Rose on May 26, hah? It looks like the Guns N' Roses European tour starts May 27 in Lisbon. That's Portugal. Something tells me the night before a major tour kicks off is not going to be spent doing a solo show in a small-town Louisiana bar without the band. I think someone has sold either 307 or the Daily or both a line of crap, and the Daily, being the Daily, just slapped that shit on the press without a moment's hesitation. I could be wrong. It's possible. But I'm not.

Ha ha...I think they've been had.

Years ago, they printed some local quotes attributed to Calvin Broadus. That's Snoop Dogg's real name. Honestly!

keep in mind the libson date is just a rumor (rumour) as well. could 307 be true? chad is the entertainment guy over there, so he's no calvin broadus and i have heard the rumor independent (and actually from a 307 hater)from their camp. but do i believe it? maybe when axl takes the stage and then i'll be looking real hard to see if he's actually the dude from paradise city (a gnr tribute band). 307 has it together, i don't think they would have talked on it were it not legit on their end. ps Broadus is from/has ties to Magnolia/McComb Mississippi which is only 2.5 hours from here and he has eaten at mathilda's bbq in Eunice ... not saying the quotes came from him, but ya know ..

I know the quotes weren't real, because the story concerned some random incident that happened outside of Grant Street Dancehall and the person being interviewed was a witness who was obviously taking advantage of an unknowing reporter. Snoop Dogg had nothing to do with any of this.

oh i didn't think he did. and i figured it was as much, but i was just saying a snoop on the streets of lafayette ain't too far fetched. its a great alias - how many folks know that name? and of course there are those who will catch it.

I thought it was hilarious. Had I been the reporter, I would have have caught it at the scene; as it was, I had the pleasure of seeing the name in bold in a pull-quote. Nice trick on the witness's part.
